Mommy/Daddy Blog Roundup 1

Tá dutch (an fear céile ar Sweet Juniper) go mhaith i gcónaí. Is fuath le dutch Michael Flatley…seo é an fáth. (Agus tá dealramh ag Junebug le twentymajor.)

Cuireann Chocolate Makes It Better i gcuimhne dom cén fáth nílimid inár gcónaí lenár muintir.

Tá Morphing into Mama ag éirí seanbhean álainn.

Tá ChildsPlayx2 an t-athair cúplaí…agus tá tuirse ar a bhean chéile.

Is é an blag é is fearr liom an tseachtain seo: Roc Rebel Granny.

...agus scríobhaim freisin ar Parents Behaving Badly (as Béarla).

Holy smokes I wish I'd taken a course in gaelic when I lived in Ireland so I could read what you're saying about us here. This is so awesome. my wife lived there too and her roommate was a scrawny little Irish Language major from Kildare named Mona Murphy (Mona Ó Murchadha?) whose boyfriend consistently smoked cigarettes in the kitchen while wearing Roy Orbison sunglasses and I know they talked trash about us in Irish 24/7.

My gaelic pronounciation was so bad when I arrived in Dublin I kept asking people where I could get the bus to "Dun Log-hair-ee." It's still pretty horrible.

Can I just say I love this? As a fucking epicure of obscurity, I have to say writing a mama blog in Gaelic is just about as good as it gets. Hats off Nicole.

I just had to check this out to see what Dutch said!

We just moved to SF and my older kids go to a school called St. Finn Barr`s. My daughter was telling me about one of her new friend`s "feis" and for the longest time I was picturing an aquarium, until I figured it out.
I also just learned what hurling is -- I thought it was like puking, but apparently not.
